We’re excited to announce the arrival of the RBRduraturo⁴, the newest addition to the RBR instrument family and built in a larger 100mm form factor.
Designed for longer, more data-intensive measurement campaigns, the RBRduraturo⁴ delivers the flexibility, endurance, and performance needed for very long-term deployments or where high-frequency data is desired.
Available models:
- RBRduraturo⁴ T: temperature only; up to 2Hz
- RBRduraturo⁴ D: pressure only; up to 2Hz
- RBRduraturo⁴ T.D: temperature and depth; up to 2Hz
Available features:
- |fast32: up to 32Hz
- |tide32: up to 2Hz continuous mode, up to 32Hz tide mode
- |wave32: up to 32Hz continuous, tide, and wave modes
Don’t let memory or power be the limiting factor in your research
At the heart of the RBRduraturo⁴ is a focus on longevity and reliability in the field. Powered by six D-cell batteries (any chemistry), it supports extended deployments even when sampling at higher rates. With flexible sampling regimes combined with what we like to call “effectively infinite” memory, you can focus on collecting data—not managing storage.
Flexible sampling, your way
The RBRduraturo⁴ is designed to adapt to your science. With independent sampling regimes across sensors, you can sample temperature at one rate while collecting pressure data at another—ideal for optimising power use without sacrificing data quality.
Twist activation keeps operation simple and robust, while the expanded housing makes room for the power and capacity required by ambitious measurement schedules.
Fast access to your data
Long deployments often mean large downloads—but not long waits. With USB-C connectivity, the RBRduraturo⁴ enables fast, reliable data transfer once the instrument is recovered, so your data, now available in multiple datasets, is ready when you are.
Measure more. Deploy longer.
The RBRduraturo⁴ expands what’s possible for long-term, high-resolution measurements—whether you’re monitoring tides, capturing wave dynamics, or running extended environmental studies.
